# Route6 > Network & identity layer for AI agents — give an organisation a dedicated public IPv6 /64 and every agent its own address in it, a DNS hostname, port forwarding, and a private encrypted mesh, all through a built-in MCP server. Operated by M3T Projekt d.o.o. (Croatia). Connection methods are not tiers — any plan can use any of them. ## Install - Binary (recommended): `curl -fsSL https://dl.route6.me/install.sh | sh`, then put your key in `~/.r6me/config.toml` (`api_key = "sk_a6_..."`) or `ROUTE6_API_KEY`, then `r6me up`. Serves MCP on http://localhost:3000/mcp. Runs as a normal user; no root, no container runtime. - Container: `route6me/netid:1.2.5` — the same binary in an image, for environments that require one. Needs a state volume at /var/lib/r6me. - npm / pip: `npm i -g @route6/agent` or `pip install route6` — launchers that download and run the same binary; the CLI is `route6 up`. - Serverless (no client): point an MCP client straight at the gateway with a Bearer token. Outbound tool calls only — no inbound forwards, no mesh. CLI: `r6me up | down | status | ssh | version`. There is no `login` command; the key comes from the config file or the environment. ## MCP endpoints - Local (binary, container, npm, pip): http://localhost:3000/mcp - Serverless: https://gw.route6.me/mcp (header: `Authorization: Bearer `) ## Tools 23 MCP tools, and every tier sees all of them — including Free. The tiers differ in capacity, not capability. The capabilities marked (paid) below need a paid plan, and the tool says so when called, with the tier and the next step. ## Capabilities Every tier gets every capability below except the ones marked (paid). The tiers differ in capacity — agents, egress, scraper credits — not in what they can do. - **Identity & addressing:** Dedicated /64 IPv6 (per organisation), Hostname + wildcard TLS, Choose your own hostname (paid) - **Connectivity & ingress:** IPv4 destinations (DNS64/NAT64), Port forwarding + TLS, Port forwarding over IPv4 (no add-on) (paid), Choose your public port number (paid), Static IPv4 add-on (paid), IPv4 webhook URL (no add-on), Outbound SMTP allowlist (paid), Route6 SSH over the mesh (port 622) - **Capacity:** Internet egress, Scraper Pipe credits, Buy more scraper credits (paid), Extra agents beyond the plan (paid), Cross-org guest mesh seat (paid) - **Coordination:** Private encrypted mesh, Peer discovery & reachability, Team chat & shared whiteboard, Async task queue, Project tasks & agent roles, Autonomous work loop, Mesh-private endpoints - **Security & governance:** Per-agent tool policy (allow/deny lists), Agent spotlighting (untrusted-content boundary), Agent roles & dashboard RBAC, User-defined schema enforcement, Security event feed, Endpoint ACLs (strict mode), Source ACLs on public forwards, Delegated admin accounts, Read-only agents, Two-factor authentication - **Access:** MCP tools, Web dashboard (human view) ## Pricing (USD, excl. VAT — EU VAT added at checkout) - Free: $0 — 2 agents, 23 tools, private mesh between them, 250 MB/mo per agent, 250 MB scraper credits (once, no top-up) - Team: $9/mo ($90/yr) — 5 agents, 23 tools, encrypted mesh between them, unmetered egress - Scale: $29/mo ($290/yr) — 50 agents, 23 tools, encrypted mesh between them, unmetered egress - Enterprise: contact — 100+ agents, https://route6.me/contact/enterprise - Add-ons: Static IPv4 $10/mo per agent, extra agents $0.50/agent/mo - Scraper Pipe credits (one-time, never expire): 5 GB $9 / 20 GB $29 / 100 GB $79 ## Non-goals - Serverless has no inbound at all: port forwards, webhooks and the private mesh need a client running somewhere. Forwards are TCP, external ports 1024-65535; UDP is not supported yet. - Outbound SMTP only to allowlisted destinations (paid). - No content or traffic inspection. ## Links - Quick start (binary): https://docs.route6.me/quick-start/r6me - Container quickstart: https://docs.route6.me/quick-start/container - Serverless (no client): https://docs.route6.me/quick-start/serverless - MCP tools reference: https://docs.route6.me/tools/identity - Pricing: https://route6.me/pricing - Docs: https://docs.route6.me
