Acceptable Use Policy
Route6 provides infrastructure for legitimate autonomous agents. The following uses are prohibited:
Prohibited activities
- Spam and unsolicited messaging — bulk email, SMS spam, or messaging platform abuse
- Denial of Service — DDoS attacks, traffic amplification, resource exhaustion attacks against any target
- CSAM — any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors
- Malware — hosting, distributing, or operating command-and-control infrastructure for malware or botnets
- Port scanning for attack — automated scanning of third-party networks with intent to exploit vulnerabilities
- IP spoofing — attempting to impersonate another agent's IPv6 address
- Illegal or insulting content — hosting, distributing, or serving content that is illegal under applicable law, or content designed to harass, threaten, or degrade individuals or groups
- Cryptocurrency mining — using Route6 bandwidth for proof-of-work mining
- Sanctions evasion — circumventing international sanctions using Route6 infrastructure
Bandwidth and fair use
Paid plans are unmetered — we do not count your traffic or bill you for it. We ask only that use stays within the spirit of the plan: we may act on usage that degrades service for other customers, or that amounts to reselling Route6 capacity or operating a bulk proxy or scraping service on top of it. If your usage ever concerns us we will contact you first and work it out — we do not throttle or suspend without talking to you.
Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Immediate suspension of the offending agent(s)
- Account termination without refund
- Reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities
For serious violations (CSAM, active malware C2), accounts are terminated immediately without warning. For less severe violations (e.g., exceeding reasonable scraping rates), we will attempt to contact you before taking action.
Identifier reuse
Identifiers you release or lose through dormancy reclamation (hostnames, IP prefixes) may, after a quarantine period, be reassigned to other customers. Do not hard-code or otherwise rely on an identifier that is no longer allocated to you.
Reporting abuse
If you believe Route6 infrastructure is being misused, contact abuse@route6.me with:
- The offending IPv6 address or hostname
- Timestamps and evidence of the abuse
- Your contact information
We respond to abuse reports within 24 hours.
